MOTHER NATURE WANTS TO BE PHOTOGRAPHED

Tips for photographing nature:

  • Plan ahead – check the weather, wear layers and good shoes.
  • Fill the frame – frame your photo so that it fills up the frame of your camera or phone
  • Avoid the harsh mid day sun – the lighting is amazing early in the morning or sundown.
  • Use a tripod – stability makes a difference in the clarity of your image
  • Photography you subject in their natural habitat
  • Patience is key

YOU DON’T TAKE A PHOTOGRAPH, YOU MAKE IT

  • Hit the trail early … before sunrise
  • If you lucky – you happen upon the perfect shot.  More often than not – planning ahead and letting the day unfold is part of the plan
  • Right Place + Right Equipment + Right time
“When words become unclear, I shall focus with photographs. When images become inadequate, I shall be content with silence.”
